A 23-year-old Kailua-Kona man is facing several charges in connection with an April 5 burglary on Queen Kalama Avenue in Kona.
Tonino Benson was arrested Wednesday and charged Friday with burglary, theft, attempted theft and forgery in connection with the reported burglary, according to the Hawaii Police Department. His bail was set at $5,000. He remains in police custody pending a court appearance on Monday.
Benson was also arrested and charged in unrelated cases on Wednesday for failure to appear in court and failure to return a rental vehicle, according to police. His bail was set at $1,300.
